Urban Decay

I am continuing my exploration of the city of Saint Louis and its unique mixture of what was with what is. As mentioned last week, most of these photos were taken in an abandoned (except for the homeless) building downtown.

All Nikon N80 with either Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D or Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G lenses; Ilford HP5+ BW Film.

One Response to “Urban Decay”

  1. We have this old Alpha/Beta meat packing plant here. Someone converted it to cold storage. Still it looks deserted. Kids tag the water tower to it 150 feet where it sits in their yard on metal legs and they blank it out. One building next to it looks vaguely Art Deco. Haven’t had time to photograph it. Wish I had it for a sculpture studio because some of it is open on one side like a forge would be. I get tantalized every time I go down into that neighborhood to get plumbing parts at a specialized store.
